Well, done, you. The great “White Surface Flame War of 2023” was narrowly avoided … this time.
Ironic that a disproportionate share of senior citizens support this nonsense. They are building a barrier to keep out the people coming here to work and keep programs like Social Security afloat.
‘Border security’ doesn’t figure into the equation. Drug dealers know how to dig tunnels. They don’t care.
Only by 2 minutes. We’ll call it a tie, random internet friend.
Everything is projection with this guy.
Maybe I don’t understand disc golf, but isn’t this more of a technique sport? Seems like the ‘male puberty’ type arguments are a red herring here, even if you were to credit them in other contexts.
Thanks for the contribution. You are of course correct that there are (some) alternatives. I was mainly addressing the implication that unions are 'bad' because they are market distorting. Economies of scale mean the market for consumer package delivery tends toward oligopoly and is already distorted on the employer side.
Breaking a cycle of violence means confronting some difficult truths about the shortcomings of one’s own parents — from whom even adults can have a deep seated need for validation.
FedEx and UPS operate as an oligopoly in the US. Damn right workers need a strong union.
That doesnt sound fun at all. Would a drain snake work?
Edit: responding to @jarfil@beehaw.org. Sorry, still getting used to the Connect app.
They don't even try to hide it anymore.
Some of the Republicans supporting this represent poor rural districts that suffer from a lack of infrastructure. In their minds they are sticking it to “those others” living in the big cities, but of course are hurting their own constituents.
This is gross on so many levels. The "ooooh catfight" aspect is dehumanizing and creepy, but dehumanizing others has been standard operating procedure for these two. I know we have to be better, but boy is it hard.
