One thing i just found on the new update, clicking on a community link !wellthatsucks@lemmy.ml crashes the app

Any eta on opening images in-app and allowing download? Another thing i’ve seen is long posts show almost the entire text on the home page, instead of a like a paragraph, it shows the entire 7-8 paragraphs and takes up the entire screen at once. Would be nice to have that collapsed until you actually view the post.

Apollo for iOS. I’ve been a beta tester of it for ~5ish years.

It’s not just Apollo: other Reddit apps are shutting down, too (from The Verge) in c/technology@lemmy.ml

even though he said old.reddit will stay around, and him lying on everything today in the AMA i wouldn’t be surprised if it got taken down soon after the API change goes into effect

Kinda glad this happened. This is getting so much more PR than Spez could have anticipated. Former Apollo user here, loving the app on iOS & it’s pretty straightforward. Hope this gets more active and i think this might be my new home :)
