That's amazing.

Title.

I'm going to use svelte and sveltekit. Most likely tailwind. Zod for validation.

Any tips and tricks/ideas, pits to watch for before I commit heavily into falling into them.

This project could potentially be in vue/react but in my opinion svelte is more appealing to me (specially because of stores)

I love and hate C++ it's my self abuse love language.

Love: wow I'd like to make a project that does Y in cpp. Abuse: actually working on it.

There isn't a single piece of software that I use that makes me think I should upgrade my 5600. Not a single game fully utilizes it (on 1440p res)

Older hardware is fine.

I hate the body language in this meme as well.

I hugely dislike when people "act" for others. The turning around like he does and his mannerisms make me mad

Yes it's irrational.

Less serious vices >>>>>> serious vices. You're not hurting anyone. If you really want help I'd suggest professional addiction therapists or something

Imo it's not a problem unless it routinely gets in the way of your goals or lifestyle.

Why not? I feel like lemmy is overall a less restrictive environment.

I wish it was like this. In reality Grub's suicidal tendencies catch me off guard.

When I was a noob I used arch for work (btw) and grub constantly broke in dire times.

Now I no longer use grub.

I've had bad mental health breaks but this is still a good outcome overall.

Imagine being in poor mental state and still having to work, I'd take the break any day.

I believe people tend to be like this when they first start having hobbies later into their life.

For instance I played guitar when I was 10 and I sucked for a good four or five years but now I'm decent.

When I started learning piano I was very aware at how much I sucked but I had the wisdom now of knowing that it would take long to become good at piano.

I think people who don't have that early introduction to skills and crafts struggle with impatience from not understanding that everything takes time.
