You're not having issues because it's very likely it's limited by your ISP regardless. There's simply no way a consumer ISP (or VPN) is allowing 1200 simultaneous UDP connections. So you could likely set it to a million and have no issues. Because you're being limited to ~250-500 at the protocol level by your ISP/VPN. lol

Situations like this, torrent priority is even more important because there's a high likelihood you're not able to connect to peers you otherwise would be able to if you were using priorities...

Love Rossman and his analogies. lol

If you agree with Louis but don't know how to setup something as complicated as pfBlocker-NG, you can try other DNS (DoH/3) based adblocking which IMO is just as effective;

Not sure how to use dnscrypt-proxy to set up DoH/3 resolution? Check out the only software I've ever recommended anyone ever pay for: YogaDNS

Swapping DoH/3 providers is as simple as adding them, and setting a routing rule. Hell, your router may even be DoH/3 compatible and you'll be able to set this network wide.

Test it out.

You can stream your primary sound driver via icecast and then on another machine use ffmpeg to record it? ffmpeg -i http://server:port -c copy output.mp3.

I dunno. This all seems super roundabout.

You're looking for QubesOS.

Qubes OS is a free and open-source, security-oriented operating system for single-user desktop computing. Qubes OS leverages Xen-based virtualization to allow for the creation and management of isolated compartments called qubes.

Everything runs in its own sandbox called a "qube." Read more.

$89. The alternatives are $180+, so this is about as good as you're going to get unless you go second hand, and most of the time second hand is more expensive than new because people want to recoup the costs as much as possible without actually thinking about what a fair price is.

Do you have it installed via flatpack/snap? IIRC flatpack/snap doesn't support AMD Hip.

Grab the tarball from here and give that a shot.

I'm a little confused... Why would you need to audio record a song from a digital device? Just transfer the file over...

IMO learning the basics of computing, go for as early as possible. Especially with this new generation of kids.

2 months ago she didn't even know how to use a mouse properly, and now she's a whiz. The funniest is when you try to show her something on the screen and she tries to click it like it's a touch-screen and I have to be like "no, use the mouse!"

It's a struggle to get started, but once they have that foundational knowledge they pick things up so quickly.

Now this I can agree with.

You can't bypass age verification on YouTube.

yt-dlp still works for age verification content, but you have to pass cookies to it.

But here's the video: https://qu.ax/KsDqd.mp4

You also know that if it's set to high, it will overload the switch? Increasing it without thinking isn't smart.

You need to have an appropriately set number of global peers. You can't just "HAHA NUMBER UP!" just for the hell of it...

I watched a 9 year old install a fully working version of Arch with no GUI...

I think you're just making it harder than it has to be... lol

EDIT: Or maybe she's 10? Not sure. But either 9 or 10.
