Not early access games but more AAA "Early access games", which means you preorder advanced edition you get to play like a week early. The biggest examples being Starfield and that new Star wars game by ubisoft (with the insane price of 130 for its super special edition). So this is just a logical loophole getting closed. We can have disagreements with the 2 hour refund window on steam but I don't think it was ever intentional for you to play 48 hours of a game then being able to refund the thing since its not official out.

I mean also it just seems like a case of normalization. You start out with slow meaningless MTX then you move it more and more. Hell its a bit odd since I'm glad there was some outrage over the MTX in this game but as you said its most likely due to the increase to $70 usd which is a slap in the face to deal with MTX in a fucking single player game but Capcom is one of the shittiest companies when it comes to dumb/pointless MTX.

Monster Hunter, Devil may cry, Dead Rising, and Resident Evil all have this kind of shit with very little peeps about it. So you basically hit the nail on the head on this on why there was such a big outrage this time around. Also I'm really surprised fucking Street Fighter doesn't, the literal poster child of pointless/odd additions which in a funny way has actually only gotten better in the digital age. I'm not a big fighting game fan but season passes have sort of solved having so many fucking editions of a single game. Like holy shit there were 5 fucking versions of Street Fighter 2 in a span of 3 years. 3 versions of SF3 in 3 years.

Edit: marked by bold, I was tired when writing this comment and seems I just forgot to finish my full thought before posting.

Footage of a police shooting that occurred during November has came out. A cop detained a suspect who they believed to have a supressed gun, they cuff and search him finding no gun and put him in back of a police car. So the deputy was walking past the car when an acorn struck the car. He shouts "shots fired" and basically unloads on the car with the unarmed suspect while screaming he is hit. The other cops on the call also start unloading on the car and thankfully the person in the car was not hurt. So from the onset its a humorous story about a cop overreacting to a stimuli and we are only laughing because noone was killed in it (well I guess some people would still be laughing if it was deadly but probably less). The cop apparently was a vet, so this seems to be a case of PTSD and its not great that an officer was able to make it that far along while such a mundane stimuli was able to set them off possibly getting someone killed. Hopefully the officer in question gets the help they need but its clear they shouldn't be in that position at all if that is how they will react.

I think you aren't thinking out this problem. While its not great that the IRS "targets" the poor. Its just simply they are the least likely to fight back against and will pay their debt in full. The rich, they fucking drag that shit out with lawyers, they have to try to hide it so you need well trained financial forensics to notice it and document it all and at the fucking end of it all, you are only getting a fraction of what you are literally owed. We want the government to be "efficient" yet we are complaining about the IRS doing their assigned task in an efficient manner because newsflash the lower income audits typically are far more automated, so they are simpler to do when your budget is limited.

Edit: Also I would like it to be remembered that the IRS are merely enforcers of the tax code. They aren't exactly the ones who set it in place, they are just doing what they can with what they were given. Hell I'm fucking happy they allocated time and money for the free filling system. Its a step in the right direction because fuck the tax refund companies who lobby our government to make the taxes as painful/annoying as they currently are, when the tax man sort of already knows most of the information they are requesting like many other countries in the first world.

With that said though, while Hasbro is fucking evil it would be weird for them to deny they were using AI at first until now. I wonder if one of their partners sort of fucked them over and actually used AI without telling them. Its possible they were 100% for the AI art since the start but think due to how large wizard of the coast is and with the likely usage of sub contractors it may not be on them fully with that said though, they probably should have double checked the images for any of those signs.

Aren't those night lords?

I think the lore is very mixed on it since even though people love the EU it basically meant every author sort of did different things with it. I believe a common thing with the armor is it does stop the blaster rounds but would make the user's incapacitated. Copout I'm aware but we also have to remember that stormtroopers were always meant to be the elite and most dangerous force but due to them going against people with plot armor they couldn't be good at all. So we have a generations of people who sort of internalized that and basically continued the meme that stormtroopers can't hit the broadside of a barn (even though they were pretty effective in 1 the opening scene and 2 with the rebel base).

I mean depends on where they are from. If they are from the US or Europe they would be fucking idiots but if they are Chinese, Russian, etc they are basically untouchable and it will merely be a game of whackamole.

Edit: welp did a Whois on their website and seems its from Arizona. So yeah nevermind my top comment, if this is truly a company stationed in Arizona they really fucked up.

Well of course it does. This guy makes a decent chunk of his money from commercial real estate. So he is going to whine about how people weren't working hard because he wants people in the offices so he can overcharge them.

I mean if you are using windows couldn't you just snipping tool with print screen?

Depends. In some ways you are correct but in other ways not so much. We like to think in the digital age once its up, its up forever. In theory yes but in some ways no since we have already seen in recent memory. Hell the popularity of lemmy and the fedeverse was kicked off because many of us left reddit, lead to many of us basically deleting/editing our prior comments. Someone can possibly have a snapshot of it but the chances of it are pretty small for some weird random obscure post on a forum. Our reliance on free services can easily lead to something disappearing as easily as it appeared. Hell we are seeing some youtube videos basically disappearing over fears of Ai scraping and it can happen abruptly.

Yeah I think many people sort of ignore many critics see a ton of movies so when you get ones that are all very trope and cliche, it may be a fun rump but a critic probably would have seen many of them prior. At the end of the day movie reviewing is a job and you are probably going to get sick of shit you see on repeat over and over with just a slap of paint on top of it. Typically the reason why comedies and horror films probably get slapped the hardest by critic reviews.

I find it odd there has been very little noise about this. Like sweet its awesome to see that there is a new Counter strike and the features they are adding seem awesome. People were very angry when Blizzard did this same exact thing, where is the anger right now about this?

I'm not here to say Valve should forever support their games, its just seems weird to kill it when there are fundamental differences between the games. Kill the official servers, that is fine since the community will just adjust and host their own servers but basically zapping the game out of existence seems wrong and it continues the worrying trends we have that can revolve around game preservation.

As the title says, Stability AI has released their new model called Stable Doodles, which lets you draw doodle then output an images based on it. Seems it is only limited to 14 styles at the moment and it is a combination of SDXL and T2I Adapters. Hopefully we will hear about a local install later but not entirely sure we will see it but due to it basically working via SDXL and T2I adapters, chances are the community will make something that is equal if not better in the coming weeks/months after the official release of SDXL.
