I tried to make a post about this but kbin vomited an error. XD

Anyone have a favorite tuxemon? One of my favorites is Hoarseshoo, weird eldritch abomination horse, another is Vulpyre. Eyesore is also nifty, really monstrous looking. Bigfin has some gorgeous art.

edit: okay NOW it randomly posted the thread when I am no longer on the thread posting page. Weird!

I love Tuxemon! The development is a touch slow, so they could use more people - it's pretty easy to contribute art or a little bit of code.

Do you have a favorite open source monster, or know of any other open source monster catcher games (doesn't necessarily have to be a Pokemon-esque clone)? I saw someone trying to make LibreWands here on the fediverse but it doesn't look like it's been touched in ten months. Tuxemon on the other hand has recently been updating character customization (you can even play a penguin lol) and bug-fixing, so it's still ongoing.

My main critique of Tuxemon is I feel like they should really add more types. Yes, it's super balanced... but that can be a bit boring imo. My second is even when given better art they don't always update it in the actual game to give a better experience for players.

I think Asudopt

would really fit all the linux users on here lol.

One of my favorites is Vulpyre:

Bigfin is pretty gorgeous and rather original:

And while it is the mascot, I have to say, I like Rockitten.

I also like how some Tuxemon are actually kinda horrifying looking, like:

I love Thrive! How many games let you be an amoeba?

Resetting games is something you can do for every #pokemon version. I think the code involves button presses at the start menu: UP, B, and X simultaneously.

Uhh it means the hungry person is no longer hungry. That's pretty meaningful to the hungry person.
If you mean it doesn't mean anything to you, then that's your deal.

Dead people may not have rights, but their very living family definitely does. When my dog died, I got upset when my mom kept trying to shove reminders in my face when all I wanted to do was forget for awhile - I can't imagine how I'd feel about an actual human being.

How would you like it if you were grieving and someone posted some tasteless shit about your loved one? (assuming you aren't a sociopath, of course, which may be a bit much considering this is the internet)

@Helvedeshunden

Obvious answer: computers.

I wish we got a bidet but my family decided against it. x_x

@snazzy0933
Maybe try putting up signs saying 'ARMED AND DANGEROUS', 'NO TRESPASSING' and 'BEWARE OF DOG'. If you don't have a dog, you can just play dog barking sounds.
A dog on a chain in front of your door is a pretty good deterrent if you're willing to do that though.

Oh god yes. I was homeschooled and it was horrible. I learned things but then they couldn't be bothered to help me get out of the house / go to a real school once I surpassed what they had to teach me, and I didn't know any nonfamily adults I could ask for help to leave.

@Cube6392 @rancidity9480
I made a kbin magazine/community for Play By Post recently but it hasn't gotten any attention. -shrug- If someone wanted to post there that could be fun.
edit: or if there is some other play by post fediverse roleplay community I am unaware of.

I think the general idea is to have just one magazine at first for a concept and then if it gets popular expand it.

Uh, no, a lot of the people screaming about this are those on the far-right, who literately share memes with holocaust denial, wear swastikas, go to Neo-nazi rallies, etc. This is well known to hate watch groups, so this is not an exaggeration. We are literately talking about Nazi supporters, not just saying they are 'like nazis'.

So I started playing, started on Phantom Menace and it was unbelievably boring - there was like only one fun part and it was beating up Maul. I spent so much time just walking from place to place, very little action, building things nonexistent. Why these huge, unskippable empty hubs? In the originals you could just go from level to level and weren't forced to go into the hub every damn time. Also the split screen was awful - I was constantly losing track of Player Two. It would've been much nicer if the split screen only came into affect when we were far away from each other.

When we beat Maul and it gave us excruciatingly pointless and boring scenes that weren't even in the movie, Player Two rage-quit on me. This game was agony to play. Started up original Lego Star Wars and it was so, so much better, actually had content to /do/ and good pacing.

No, I don't want to slowly follow Lord Palpatine and get slowed down every time I threaten to move past him. Ditto for Jar Jar Binks and the protocol droid. Is this game a walking simulator?

Unfortunately I am not very familiar with docker, so I cannot help you there, sorry, although it does sound like if the docker has a linux subsystem that it should work?
I might give it a go with running it myself at some point.

Seems to be a lot of 'looking for file router.min.js'. Could be a version conflict and it got moved?
So. Do you have the file on your system? Do you have a vendor folder with friendsofsymphony and inside that js routing bundle?

I have not tried to use docker for windows myself, but looking to see if a referenced folder exists under this type of error is pretty common. You may be able to find a js routing bundle version somewhere that has the referenced file or perhaps non-minified files that could be bundled together.

I was also under the impression this docker was for Debian, which is a Linux distribution. Are you running your windows docker in a simulated linux debian environment (or does it do that)? If you don't wish to install Debian or a virtual box for it, you might want to try getting a free Cloud Oracle VPS and setting up a Debian instance there - just beware of their extremely annoying double firewall which has often tripped me up.

Also, it is just called kbin, not kbin.social - the latter is the name of the website running kbin. -wink-
