@XxTriviumxX i'v left automod configured to remove most spam, anything that gets reported more than 5 times, and post a stickied comment onto every post telling people where the mod team has gone. those comments get downvoted to oblivion, and i give absolutely zero fucks whatsoever. my job is done.

i'm from australia. australia is a federation. this country is made up of six states and a number of territories. the six states are all still legally distinct entities with their own individual laws that do not impact residents of other states. to be able to be part of a larger country tho, our different states need to comply to another, higher set of rules that are decided by our federal government. it is theoretically (but not legally) possible for a state to be ejected or to leave the federation in which case they won't have to comply to the federation-wide rules any more. for example, the country of New Zealand has had a standing invitation to join the australian federation ever since colonies on the australian mainland started talking about declaring statehood and then joining up in a federation, but those smart bastards have always told us where to go and where to tie our horse up when we get there. the fact that they've literally always had better conditions (eg women being allowed to vote and own land) might have something to do with it

kbin wasn't federated yet when we jumped. as far as i'm aware i made my kbin account like 6 hours after federation, because i did that as soon as i heard that there was a different UI

not as far as i'm aware. i know about discord servers (that i'm not a member of) where discussions are happening, but as far as i'm aware the majority of planning is happening either in the protest-centric subreddits or in this magazine right here.

i gotta admit, there has been a lot of arrogance and a lack of consideration of consequences by lots of people involved in this on all sides

i have made a point of paying for music that i DJ with for over a decade. bandcamp as a website has been a huge part of that. it's bloody amazing.

yikes, fuck that. i mod my subs because nobody else is willing to, not because i have any fucking desire to do so

the ability to dynamically filter search results, if that's at all possible (it's not with lemmy's interface currently)

he'll get axed before the company goes public and they'll put some nameless suit in the role instead. i rekon calling out the entire corporate section might have been better, but then again huffman was one of the three founders so i dunno

yep, looks like the admins are now overtly taking action and stamping their authoritah

exactly the same way that catman does

i'm willing to do it, but i'll also admit that i'm slow and not great at this sort of thing so would probably get a few things wrong or forget to include stuff. it'd be great if someone who actually knew what they were doing could do something like that.

i have two subreddits, one of them has videos for content and the other one is more based around discussion about the links that get posted, so i realise i might have to do two different processes, and i'm not getting paid sooo ..

i have two priorities. one is to transfer as much content as possible. the other is to take as little effort as possible to do so. i'm not sure which one is higher, but considering that it's saturday night right now the second one is still really important because i'v got a bottle of rum and the sound system is turned on and imma groovin' and don't wanna stop
