Summary: The Biden administration is considering sending Ukraine the Cluster submunition variants of GMLRLS and ATACMS. If approved, the munitions could be sent as soon as Sept. 19 as part of a Presidential Drawdown Authority shipment.

But the Romanian foreign ministry rejects Kyiv's version of events, saying it didn't happen.

Much needed by AFU

Multiple air defense missile systems deployed by Russia on two disputed islands off northern Japan in 2020 have been moved off the isles, an analysis of satellite images shows, raising the possibility that Moscow is repurposing weapons from its Far East for use in the war against Ukraine.

Cool, I was wondering what the Ukrainian missile engineers have been working on for the past year. Also from the article:

As a result, even with the currently limited inventory, Moscow will be targeted using the modified Neptune in the not-too-distant future, the official told us. That will add to the discomfort felt in the Russian capital, which has been repeatedly hit by Ukrainian drones.
To reach that roughly 290-mile distance from the Ukrainian border (and perhaps longer from a launch site), the payload will be reduced and the volume of fuel will be boosted. This is a common modification for cruise missile variants.

That’s a lot of ammo!

Sources in Belarus said that some Wagner base camps were being dismantled the evening of Aug. 23, and that members of the private military group were forming convoys to leave the country.

"The convoys are likely heading towards the border with Russia," the Center said.

According to the Center's sources in Belarus, the Belarusian government did not authorize the mercenary group's withdrawal. Belarusian special services are reportedly trying to intercept the convoys at the border.

New rumor: its possible Prigozhin wasn’t actually on the plane.

Apparently he frequently registers for one plane, then boards another one, for personal security reasons.

Too bad the other bridge wasn’t as damaged

I wonder how Turkey would respond if a Nato ally, lets say Poland, invokes Article 5

Explosions near the Crimean Bridge were reported by Russian-affiliated Telegram channels during the early hours of August 5. Despite previous reports, Russian sources claim that no explosions have been reported directly on the bridge itself.
