Looks interesting, is the android app available any other way than the playstore? On the github page I can only see files for windows and linux, maybe I am missing something obvious here.

It is great but as long as new debt will be immediately acrued by current students this is just a temporary fix. Or is there anything planned how to deal with that?

This is what I was wondering. It sounds like their frontpage is defaced but the underlying server is untouched. So if you login via an app you should still reach the server as normal?
It is great that you do this, I am just wondering if this is maybe too much work compared to a rewrite? Just thinking of what the original developer said, codebase was in too bad shape for fixing much and he wanted to start from scratch.
That would be done by swiping from the edge of the screen. Swiping on posts is done more in the middle.

Yeah, I was not 100% sure it used to be there, but its something I have really grown to like and it would be nice to see it in Slide for Lemmy.
Thunder is a good example where it works really well with two different swipe actions for each side, depending if you swipe a little or further out.
Meh, Slide was better for me but got discontinued on the way. Not that it matters anymore now.

Sure, but treatments of something that complex has to start somewhere. It seems to go in the right direction and upcoming treatments may build on that. I am not sure that anyone could have expected after many failures to just find the magical cure that completely cures Alzheimers.
