I'm sure actual Begali cusine is fantastic. Bengalis half arseing Indian dishes not so much.

It makes me laugh as in the UK a vehicle bellowing smoke due to an old or broken down engine has always been an indicator of someone being broke and unable to fix it upgrade it, these wankers are intentionally making their trucks look like they're skin flints.

I don't know what country you're in, but lots of Indians in the UK are actuall run by Bangladeshis and the food is a bit middling. Once you find a good one you become loyal.

This seems like one of the most bizarrely misjudged crossover promotions I think I've ever seen.

Played about an hour and a half last night. It seems essentially a glorified Trek themed Stellaris expansion. Which given it was only £25 quid I don't mind too much.

You don't think a Hamas flag represents pretty similar sentiment to the Nazi flag at present?

How often does that realistically happen, there aren't cars full of Jews doing laps of Whitechapel with Isreali flags when this kicks off, it's always the other way around.

Was going to say this meme is being used the wrong way around. It should be Rick Berman suggesting sexy Borg and Moore suggesting actually capitalising on the concept of the show then being yeeted.

MS have been pretty good at putting their games in rival stores to appease regulators, I could see them trying to get them on Mac too, especially with apple playing for the games market now too with their new chips.

How is the production on almost every DCEU film such a shitshow behind the scenes. We had all the Justice League stuff, The Rock throwing his weight around and cratering Back Adams chances and now this.

So, I've noticed a few posts making it to "all" from some some communities that are, shall we say, unsympathetic to the Israelis readarding the attacks over the weekend.

I don't want to get into a row about the situation itself as you can have one of them anywhere online right now.

However, some of it slips into being supportive and almost enthusiastic about Hamas actions.

In quite a few countries, Hamas are a legally proscribed terrorist organisation, and support of them is specifically illegal. Therefore I'm wondering if there is any risk hosting federated content from these instances if you happen to live in said country and host a Lemmy instance. Lemm.ee for example being based in the EU where they are deemed as terrorists.

This morning I tried to reply to a comment in worldnews@lemmy.world, and got a "community ban" alert.

This seemed odd as I had not been informed that I had been banned from said community by the mods. Doing some testing, I realised I was getting the alert when replying to some users but not others. When using via browser I just got a hanging loading bar when trying to reply to said users.

So, I'm trying to work out what the "community ban" alert actually represts, as I'm not banned from said community, does it represent that users have me blocked, that their instance isn't federated with mine, etc? Any clarification helps.

Cast recording for this week's episode is up, I've only listened to one early track to avoid spoilers but sounds like they've nailed it.

It's been too long since we got a good 2000AD game so hyped for this.

What's everyone been making of these guys. After years of joking that Fat Wreck bands all sound the same, I didn't expect Fat Mike to jump straight into a hip hop/punk mashup act after NOFX, but I'm digging the album.

Farewell to a legend.
