Clearly I'm living on another instance, but I'm wondering is startrek.website community creation is locked or not? Feels like all the different Trek sub-communities should be hosted here. Show specific ones like Lower Decks, things like Star Trek Online, etc. but so far it seems like its just the big 3.

Figured it out, the community was made and I can get to it by manually typing the URL, but that page also says it was deleted by the creator and doesn't show in community search. So I think it's in recycling bin limbo and failing to generate an error.

I'm just trying to do "Stargate", just the one word, lowercase in the name field.
Started mobile, but I'm on desktop now with the same result.
To select a language "correctly" do I just ctrl+click, in my case, English and Undetermined, so that they are both highlighted when I click Create? Thats what I tried last time, no luck so far.

And I just accidentally figured out it does. It's a quick-tap of the comment, I'm used to it being a long press.
Not bad, need to sub to more communities, I do wish the app would support collapsing comment threads so I can more easily move on to the next root comment.
Admin ended up having to make multiple posts in relatively close succession about upgrades and the raw user count was/is very similar to ML.
Suggestion: I think it might be good to add the https://browse.feddit.de/ to the homepage sidebar.
I hope that somewhere in Lemmy's development a system is added for federating/syncing each instance's Known Community List with each other, so even if no one on lemmy.world is interacting with some.site "yet" lemmy.world knows *about *it and about its communities (just their basic name etc data, not the contents) because lemmy.ml, or whoever, has established a link with some.site and lemmy.world talks to lemmy.ml and gets the list info from them.
