Why are people saying local backups are gone?
Microsoft Edge's ePub reader was so good! I would have used it all the time for reading if it hadn't met its demise. Is there no equivalent fork or project out there? The existing epub readers always have these quirks that annoy me to the point where I'll just use Calibre's built in reader which works well enough.
EPubs are just websites bound in xhtml or something. Could we just not make every browser also an epub reader? (I just like epubs).
Ah, so it's shit? I didn't realise lol.
If it was a good app at all, could anybody fork it? Or was it propietary?
Honestly, we are spoilt for choice with podcast apps, with Tsacdop and AntennaPod, and Pocketcasts, a mostly free to use propietary app.
yelling abusive phrases as Senator Antic walked past, including the word “racist”.
Strange to single that out as abusive - the word could only be abusive if it were uttered abusively, otherwise that's a redundant bit of detail.
I used it intentionally mockingly just to be clear.
Well, these things can easily be weaponised as we've seen in the UK and US, but even here - I remember when Jordan Shanks was called racist, for mocking Bruz - they're both Southern European decendants!!? Though Shanks is half Scottish.
It's the same back in the fatherland, Blighty.
There are two forks?? Also sauce pls :)
Firefox has this android app called screenshot go, that automatically reads all the text in all your screen shots and makes them searchable.
Something like that for desktop would be cool. Especially if it could be done in an open standard that makes well with others.
The Android app has an option in settings, chats, and chat backup. I don't see how to make it take a local backup but apparently it has one already recently.
