is it worth getting that secondary ap the ac mesh or should i just downgrade the lr to the plus

minght also get the lr and fidle around the the power settings

so i want to install a better wifi system at my parents house and i cant choose between the 2 aps get a u6 plus at 110 or get a u6 LR at (140 only 30 up currently at a sale from 180 to 140)

im going to also get an unifi ac mesh 100 for outdoor coverage but im conteplating if i realy need that extra coverage and streams the lr gives

walls are brick are around 10-13cm

isp is 50/5 its possible for upto 200/20 or a 1gig in the future

there are 4 rooms : parents, sisters my room and bathroom. and 3 areas will be close to the internal ap with no walls inbetween. Another area that i want to cover is the balcony/garden

i want it to be a 2 ap setup 1 wifi 6 ap for indoors will be at the living room/diner table kitchen

parents bedroom is the first wall my room is 2 walls from the indoor and 1 wall from the outdoor ap some for my sister ony differce is see has 3 walls from indoor ap anf 1 wall from outdoor

is it worth it getting the u6 LR over the u6 plus just for that extra range and extra streams?

the ac mesh for now will be wired via powerline or mesh if speeds are better powerline is about 40-60mbps. In 2 or 3 months ill run extirior rated cat 6 for that ac mesh

so I wanted run a cable from the front of the house to the back front of the house is living room and back is my room and balcony it's going to go from the front to my room on a switch then from a switch to an externally placed ubiquiti AC mesh what should I look for when buying an outdoor rated cable? I want to get cat 6 for now it will be a gigabit link I want it to be future proof so upto like 10gig the run will be around 20-30 meters long it will be exposed to the sun

should I get a shielded cable or a dual shielded cable? can you suggest good grounded ethernet patch ports?

also I've worked with utp cables before they where cat 5e but does cat 6 have the same thickness for its conductor's? do I need to get cat 6 rated rj45 terminals?

get a mikrotik they are good for the price and setup recursive routing so what I'm using right now is 2 wans or you could use 1 wan and 1 4g or plug a phone on the usb port and turn on usb tethering so basically recursive routing checks if a host is up on a line say isp 1 pings to see if 1.1.1.1 is up if not switch to isp 2 isp 1 is my own line and isp 2 is my apartment's shared internet connection that has unstable speeds but for failover, it's better than nothing

so my current setup is isp modem/router gives wifi and 2 powerline adapters give internet to an older isp modem/router setup as an access point

walls are thick brick walls so the current setup only has 2.4ghz i would like 5ghz with the upgrade if possible

line coming in is 50/5 down/up vdsl

use of the internet is social media iptv streaming (mostly consumes around 10mbps) and some netflix maybe 1 device at a time

routing: i want to have a mikrotik router since i use it at my home and i know its abilities so will put their current modem/router in bridge mode so it works only as a modem. I dont know if roaming between 2 different brands will be good for the clients (if i get a mikrotik hap)

im thinking of going with 2 ubiquity aps not the latest since im looking not paying a lot for wifi 6 and wifi 5 will still be better than the current setup and they will have more range and power than the isp modem/router combo

house is big i dont know the mesurements but 2 aps will cover it well. One of the aps will be on the balcony it will cover my room and my sisters room and the bathroom and also the yard. Im thinking of using the Ubiquiti UniFi AC Mesh it will have a backhaul at the main router

clients are around 10-15 devices

now for the living room/kitchen arrea and parrents bedroom where the current modem router is i will use ubiquity ac lite and an rb750gr3. I will probably keep it this way maybe change the mikrotik router for a better model with usb

budget is probably going to be around 250-300ish euros

prices in my country (greece)

1)ac lite is 92 euros

2)ac mesh is 92

3)rb750gr3 is 55 euros

that comes to around 235+10-20 for shipping

or should i ditch 2) and 3) and only use a hap ax3? its around the same price

for cabling i will go to cat 6 for external rates use what cable sould i get? i want about 50 to 100meters cause it will go around the house so it doesnt go through the house it will look agly plus no routing options since its an old house. Also in the feature i could use my grandparrents line again 50/5 vdsl and use that as a failover or use pcc for load balancing
