That’s a completely fair point and I’ve def run into that problem too before. It would be cool if games had a feature to rewind cut scenes as you’re watching them in case something is missed. I think cutscenes in general could really use a overhaul in the gaming world for simple features such as this. Have to say, the active time lore feature in final fantasy 16 is an insanely cool feature the game brings to cutscenes.

I tend to turn subtitles off because if helps me get more immersed in the story.
I’m excited for 2024! I’m really excited it looks like they’re adding an H125. I’m curious how it’ll compare to the Cowansim version. Curious if it will have a working HELISAS system and how the avionics are.
Yep I had alien blue back in the day and it was essentially what Apollo is today (not quite as fleshed out as Apollo though). When Reddit bought alien blue I was actually somewhat excited because it was a great app. But they completely destroyed and tarnished it. I’m sure the dev who sold it (or was hired by Reddit, I can’t remember) is sad about it.
Ohh fuck that! That would be awful. :(
The only complaint I have that I've experienced in the demo is the performance mode can't keep up with 60.. it seems to drop a lot all over. It's not the worst, at least we have the option for the performance mode but really wish it could be a bit smoother. Hopefully they can improve this aspect of the game soon.
Aside from all the other praise people are giving it (which I completely agree with) I have to say, the ability to pause during cutscenes and access the database or whatever they call it to read about the characters involved in the cutscene is truly revolutionary.
I decided to play Jedi Survivor at 30 on the PS5 just to sort of get the feeling of 30 and as I began playing, I"m like alright this is okay I'm loving the graphics and how awesome everything looks. Played for about 30 minutes like this at 30fps then decided alright I'm gonna toggle performance mode on and see how it compares now that I've experienced 30 and whew.. it was a night and day difference. It felt so silky smooth, despite the fps drops in Survivor it still felt 100000% times better over 30. Just the smoothness and fluidity is insanely good. It was like I was going from slow motion to real life when I made the switch.
I really hope Starfield can feel good, but man being first person at 30 is gonna be rough I bet. I really hope I'm wrong and it'll be decent though.
I just recently had a canvas print made of this and it looks amazing on my wall!
