I'm one of the unnamed crew of starbase 80, for sure.

Sadly, there are only a few small areas of ancient forest left in my area, but they are so diverse and abundant. They're always a treat to explore.

Ochre brittlegill (Russula ochroleuca), stump puffballs (Lycoperdon / Apioperdon pyriforme), amethyst deceiver (Laccaria amethystina), Common puffballs (Lycoperdon perlatum), clouded agaric (Clitocybe nebularis), and what I believe to be red cracking bolete (Boletus / Xerocomellus chrysenteron) which are very abundant here. I did find some more wood mushrooms (Agaricus sylvicola) and green cracked brittlegills (Russula virescens), but I didn't take a picture for some reason.

The inconsistent size of Jeffrie's tubes is one of the things I love about the franchise. Sometimes crawl through them, sometimes run. Who fucking knows!

It's the 24th century. No-one cured baldness because they're past caring about such nonsense

Agaricus arvensis or campestris. I can never tell horse and field mushrooms apart, but no yellow staining and a pleasant mushroom and mild anise smell. I found several rings. Unfortunately, the maggots beat me to most of them. Also found a fair few meadow puffballs (Lycoperdon pratense) that had unfortunately just started to spore, and some parrot waxcaps (Gliophorus psittacinus) which, whilst edible, are far too small and slimy to bother with.

I did also find either a rather beautiful pure bright white amanita. Either a Destroying angel (Amanita virosa) or white dapperling (Leucoagaricus leucothites), im not knowledgeable enough to tell. Whilst fun to find, it's definitely not one I brought home.

I also came across a few puffballs, that had unfortunately started to spore, and some earthballs

The episode could've been called Shades of Cave(s)

Same. Great episode. I love the interplay between these two

Oh nice. Didn't realise these were out now as I don't have Netflix. Definitely wanna check them out. Need to rewatch Ateroid City actually, I watched it with someone clearly not interested who kept talking!

I watched Citizen Kane for the first time. It's one I'd never got round to despite it being so lauded. I'll be honest, it being black and white and from 1941, I had prejudged it as I've not been a fan of other films of that era.

Thankfully, It's pretty bloody good! In many ways it feels a more modern film than many that came after it. Yes, some of the acting is a bit hokey, but Orson Welles is great, and the directing, cinematography, and music are all stellar. There's so many bold and interesting choices and often a tangible sense of heightened reality about it. It's an odd film in that it outlines the entire plot in the first 10 minutes, but still hooks you with the central question. What is Rosebud? But, more importantly, who is Charles Foster Kane?

That's awesome. I'm at the tail end of my first playthrough, but I'm already thinking about and all druid run with Halsin, Jaheira, Tav, and a respecced origin. I think druid is flexible enough to pull it off. How are you finding system shock, then? I never played it originally but have played many of its 'spiritual sequels' in terms of immersive sims. I was tempted to harken back when the remake came out but never bit the bullet.

Baldur's Gate (in act 3 now), Lies of P, and just dipped my toe into Warhammer 40k Darktide. It's quite nice having very different games to bounce between.

I've got Cocoon waiting a well. I heard it's quite short so maybe I'll boot it up on an evening where Lies of P is kicking my arse too much lol

I've just dipped my toes into Darktide on xbox gamepass. I love the visceral, impactful feel to melee combat so far. I have been playing with one friend so have come afoul of the lack of communication with others that don't chat, but so far have found it to be acceptably stable in terms of gameplay

I'm sorry but it's an awful, ugly, science runabout... that's its. I may be biased because I hate the design...

The 'smart, sexy, emotionally intelligent expert' to 'maniacal space pirate' heel turn was glorious!
