Lemm.ee seems pretty okay.

I don't care much about instances though, I just use Lemmy like it's Reddit and scroll through the home page and my subscriptions

Many in our government don't even care about human rights anyway. At what point do we become a so-called "rogue state" of the kind that we'd criticise Russia, Iran, and North Korea for being?

Shit was fucked before 2020. The rot has been growing since 2010.

He turned down an OBE, I will always respect him for that. RIP Benjamin

Disruptive protest, no matter how annoying, is valid and should be protected under law. When the government moves to ban protest and dissent, they've crossed the line into authoritarianism.

The right to protest is a fundamental of democracy, and we should not accept any erosion of the fundamentals of democracy.

No chance I ever pay for premium when third party clients have more features for free than the official app and site have when paid. An official version of sponsorblock would be a good start so I could skip through the crap in videos.

Work Drugs.

Cool as hell band who make smooth, summery, indie pop laced with synths and sax.

I can't get that "Illegals in my yard" song out of my head after hearing it earlier.

As others have said, it's a war of attrition. There's no end in sight. As it stands, we can only speculate on who is winning. Russia have so far failed to make any significant gains, and Ukraine have so far failed to push the Russians out.

It's a bit like the stalemates of trench warfare in WW1. Something will have to give eventually.

Preferably something that has little to no preparation required.
