So close to perfecting my dual-boot GNU/Linux Surface Book 2 setup, but I'm encountering a few final obstacles:

  1. Is there anyway to fix the flashing on boot in rEFInd? My screen flashes gray three times and I've already tried toggling resolution, use_graphics_for, and text_only.
  2. I would love to be able to connect to my Microsoft Display Adapter on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, but no matter how much I've fiddled with Miraclecast and gnome-network-display, I can't get it to work. GND fails on some inexplicable firewall error, while Miraclecast has yet to fully implement Display-Source.
  3. I know most people will just say to fully disable Secure Boot, but I would really like to get it working. I already went through the process of signing certificates and running around MokManager with rEFInd and Tumbleweed, but for some reason it will not work at all with my Garuda installation. I'm not sure if it's because that partition is encrypted, the fact that I use the custom Nobara kernel, or if it's just an Arch-based thing.

TL;DR: Can I make rEFInd stop flashing, SecureBoot Garuda, and connect to a Microsoft Display Adapter?

Super excited about this! But is there anyway we could also get it on FDroid? The artemis.camp instance doesn't seem to work on the originally released private beta version, which is still on v0.1.7@cloaker@kbin.social

As excited as I am about the Fediverse and its diversity, an all-in-one application is the real dream. I'm afraid efforts are splintering into too many redundant apps (15 at this point across both platforms) when they could be focused on the one app to rule them all with clean, working interfaces for as many federated applications as possible. With Fedilab already supporting Friendica, Mastodon, Pleroma, Pixelfed, Peertube, and even GNU Social (with plans to support CalcKey), adding Lemmy / Kbin would be a game changer for me and many others. Add Funkwhale and maybe WordPress and it's game over you never need to download any other apps.

Yo, I have used and even forked your page! Cool to run into you. I have put yours and OP's apps into a neat Github .md table with links to communities and Github as well as development status if you are interested in adding it to your page. Would love to contribute.

This looks amazing! Exactly what I imagined

Is this project free and open source? If not, will it be in the future? If so, could the source code be publicly released on Github or Gitlab at some point? Finally, do you have plans to support lemmy?

Is there anyway we could combine all the best aspects of these awesome UserScript and UserStyle enhancements into a single super script? If so, this could potentially be reworked for a pull request to the kbin project as a whole.

What is this margin-removing script you speak of? That's been my biggest pet peeve on desktop

[–] DARbarian@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

Anybody get around to getting all of these into a nice, updated awesome-table on Github? Yanno to cleanly display which ones are lemmy / kbin, iOS / Android, FOSS, etc.
