Ok, update. I removed some improper repos that the amdgpu-install had installed and I got things mostly working. Only problem is that rendering in Blender on GPU crashes it and I can’t seem to get good logs for the problem. I will try to get some logs and post them here.

I just realized this myself as well and posted it into an another comment. Should have replied here instead. But now the only problem is Blender crashing.

This is all the logs I seem to get. The logs before the cat command are from running Blender.

So, see the other comment for the dnf message when installing amdgpu-core. Everything else except amdgpu-core gets installed properly. The error says ERROR: This package can only be installed on EL8. Which makes no sense.

[–] AapoL@sopuli.xyz 1 points 9 months ago

Well, I figured that out. But the problem is now my drivers are kind of broken. The error you are seeing in the log is what is not letting me download the drivers.

Here's also the dnf log:

A website with the make log is linked. I'm having a problem with installing drivers on my Fedora install. I have an RX6600 and would like to install the amdgpu drivers. I've tried trough dnf and the official amdgpu-install script. Any ideas why this compile error is happening? Actually considering going to Arch or Ubuntu because of this. I've had a lot of problems with AMD drivers on Fedora. I would like to also use Blender GPU Rendering. This is what their page says about it. The drivers I had previously were the normal ones. Now I'm having problems installing any drivers.

HIP – AMD

HIP is supported on Windows and Linux and requires a AMD graphics card with the Vega architecture or newer. Both discrete GPUs and APUs are supported.

Supported GPUs include:

    Radeon VII

    Radeon RX Vega Series

    Radeon RX 5000 Series

    Radeon RX 6000 Series

    Radeon RX 7000 Series

    Radeon Pro WX 9100

    Radeon Pro W6000 Series

Minimum driver versions:

Windows: Radeon Software 21.12.1 or Radeon PRO Software 21.Q4

Linux: Radeon Software 22.10 or ROCm 5.3

Please refer to AMD’s website for more information about AMD graphics cards and their architectures.

Would I need to install ROCm? Trough their AMD's install script it was represented as an option, but I ran into the same problem here.

I have already tried to reinstall, didn't work. I have the RX 6600. I'm on Fedora. Already ran sudo dnf update and restarted multiple times. Could my GPU be dying? The GPU is a Powercolor branded one and basically the cheapest RX 6600 that my local shop had available so its a bit sketchy. But it has worked pretty well so far.

You probably want to upload this to github and then share around. Just copypasting the code is a bit clunky. Cool stuff though!

Phone flashlights are optimized for photos. They don't shine very bright for example. You need to see even a good 30€ flashlight. Super bright compared to that. Also if you are in a situation that means you need to have battery on your phone, using the flashlight drains it a lot. Also on some flashlights you can use as a powerbank. For someone living in a city, it's maybe not it but if you are even a bit remote or like to do hiking or something its super useful. Idk I probably have read too much r/flashlights. It's like collecting knives man.

Good flashlights. You can get a great one that's rechargeable and super bright for something like 30€. At the same price you can get a crappy one at your local hardware store which is the options most people choose.

Porblem solved! I downloaded the libklibc package manually.

Thanks! That worked.

This happens when trying to update things in apt in PopOS. Tell me if more info is needed. I hope I posted to the right community.>>>

I'm going on a trip soon and trying to get myself some things to do. What Android games should I play? Obviously not some cash grab games but something proper. My most played games are Kerbal Space Program, Minecraft, Stormworks, Red dead Redemption 2, Forza Horizon 5, Farming Simulator 19 and 22 and BeamNG. I'm thinking of Pokemon Fire Red on some emulator. Other suggestions?
