My homage to Salem

Found it among the remains of the original mp3.com, so it could be made in 2003 at latest. The authors are from Tel-Aviv, they had at least two more songs, "can't breathe" and "BIGGER". They didn't post more info about themselves and only received 16 plays. The restored mp3.com page: https://mp3-2003.computer-legacy.com/artists/260/gijo.html

I use Merzbow when I need to stay awake, and I enjoy it, but this track is one of my favorites ever. The whole Merzzow album is pretty great imo

I do like Lorn, although I don't normally listen to it. And I'm checking out Shlohmo and I'm really enjoying it too!

If you have Android, Murglar is pretty good for downloading files, playlists, albums, etc from Deezer or SoundCloud

Officially it did, but in fact Russia is still very much an empire with colonised lands and never stopped being one

I usually just lurk, but it still feels different here. As other people point out, it's similar to the internet's old days, and although I never got to experience that, I think I feel the same way. It's more free, less crowdy and noisy. I still find myself needing Reddit though because of the more niche communities and content.

I'm currently reading Oblomov by Goncharov, after it I might jump to "Ears of corn under your sickle" by Karatkievič
