I don't think there is a way to disable the feature, it sounds like a bug in the Nokia. My only suggestion would to be to use the Tasker app and write an automation that automatically turns off Adaptive Brightness if it is turned on. If the brightness changes when Adaptive Brightness first turns on you could have the task restore the previous brightness also. I know this shouldn't be needed but it is an option.

Thanks, I had tried that but the eshop wants the password before it will load.

You can also turn on the top bar in the site settings, not to be confused with profile settings. Hamburger Menu, Gear Icon, turn on Top Bar toggle, then save if there is a save button otherwise refresh page to add the top bar (I think the save button was depreciated)

have any SUV with this type of rearview mirror and honestly IMO it is the best driver assistive technological in a decade, in actual mirror mode I get a small view around 400 x 400 mm but in camera mode I get a full unobstructed view. I get the complaint about VR sickness as I had a few existential crisis's when the vehicle was new but that issue passes with time and it is only an issue for people who have muscle memory that the rearview is a mirror, as this option becomes more popular younger generations won't be affected by this.

I have come into possession of a Nintendo Switch and I do not have the identity of the owner. Any suggestions how to track down the owner? I looked at the user accounts and they are not logged into and social media accounts, no name or other identifying details, no Nintendo Online account so I can't go online to chat with any of their saved friends. The best lead I have is a Reddit user who is using the same username as the Switch user, the Reddit user is a gamer but no Nintendo specific posts. I guess the logical next step would to be to DM the Reddit user but I deleted all my accounts and do not want to create a new account.

Where can I find the list of instances kbin.social is federated with? I'm asking because android@lemmy.world has locked the community as they are merging with Android@Lemdro.id. I'm unable to find and thus subscribe to the community at Lemdro.id and I'm guessing it is because kbin.social is not federated with Lemdro.id.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and again, fuck Carmen Ortiz, such an senseless tragedy. What else was he destined for, he was so young but left such a great legacy.

I love Bink and I think it would get more votes if others realized it is an anagram of kbin as originally suggested by @TheOlympian

I really wish MTV still did Celebrity Death Match because I think that is as real as this could get.

Anyone have the numbers of today's new users for any of the kbin or Lemmy instances?

I agree I think the majority of those who were going to move on have do so already. In time as the Fediverse grows it will pull others in.

Thank you for the work, I think I was one of the early subs to this.

Yeah, I'm trying to decide if this is a rich person "farm" or digital art maybe even ai.

I was just prompted that a PWA was available for kbin. I now have it installed, really great to see this. IMO it is a great stopgap until native apps are available.

I have over 350 Chome tabs open in Chrome on my phone, I'm going to remove Reddit so I don't open it out of reflex and spend my normal Reddit time reading all the articles in tabs I opened but never read.
