Personally, I found it to be true. But I guess it’s not because of sleep deprivation itself, but because I sleep much better than average the following night, and with much longer deep sleep phases (I track sleep on my watch).
So it’s still actually good sleep that’s doing the mood improvement thing. Deprivation is just one way to get it.
