Still like wefwef better though. Cannot be removed from app stores if some regulation comes along.

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 17 points 1 year ago (2 children)

True that! But wefwef is unfortunately a little finicky on my phone. Sometimes scrolling doesn't respond at all :(

[–] Nks@programming.dev 3 points 1 year ago

That’s my biggest gripe with wefwef

[–] NightAuthor 1 points 1 year ago

Work around: slide a post a little to one side and scrolling comes back

I have way more bugs on Memmy. I can’t even reply to most comments in that app for some reason. Wefwef can be a little finicky but smoother overall for me.

You can’t reply to comments? You swipe to reply. I have no issues replying on any version of it.

There are bugs but the developers fix a ton very quickly.

Yeah, it doesn’t work a lot of the time. It also let me log in but says I don’t subscribe to any communities (which is wrong) and doesn’t show many any communities when I use search.

[–] ebits21@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The dev is about to release a new ‘slider’ for when you slide to reply because it had issues.

The lack of communities is apparently a lemmy issue despite working in wefwef. Dev looked into it apparently. Something about the api they are using. Only affecting certain instances.

They’re developing very fast hence the bugs. They do fix quickly too though. Im trying to submit as many bugs to them on GitHub as possible.

Yeah that makes sense. I have no problem using wefwef for the time being until these other apps iron the kinks out.

i've used a couple of apps but i find jerboa is the best so far. the bugs i encountered were as a result of me being part of a large instance rather than the app itself.

[–] Zana@startrek.website 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

My only thing about Jerboa, is there a way to move the buttons under comments to the left? I use my left hand to browse and reaching all the way to the right is a bit much.

[–] Duchess@yiffit.net 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That would be a good feature to add, I'm personally a righty but I'm all for accessibility features.

[–] Zana@startrek.website 3 points 1 year ago

I'm also right handed but I use my left hand for my phone. I never realized how weird that was until recently haha.

It's really cool we have so many clients, and more are on the way. :)

[–] meldrik@lemmy.wtf 4 points 1 year ago

Yes, it’s amazing we have so many awesome developers!

[–] supermurs@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

I prefer Memmy to others at the moment.

[–] bronzing@lemmy.fmhy.ml 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m surprised there aren’t many people talking about Mlem. It’s far from perfect and it still misses some basic features (such as a full screen image viewer lol) but I find it to be the prettiest and most intuitive of the bunch.

[–] tht7@programming.dev 1 points 1 year ago

Aww thanks man! Alsoooo I promise we’re working on it https://github.com/mlemgroup/mlem/pull/171

[–] badnew@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Tried and liked both but wefwef is nicer IMHO

[–] latewizard@lemmy.one 4 points 1 year ago

I’m preferring Memmy right now, but I’m keeping Mlem and wefwef on my home screen to see how they keep up.

[–] Sev@feddit.uk 2 points 1 year ago

I can’t seem to block communities in wefwef?

[–] TimTheEnchanter 1 points 1 year ago

I’m using Memmy and running into bugs here and there, and there are some features that I would really like. But it’s still early so I’ll see how it develops.

Anyone have any other suggestions for iOS apps for Lemmy that I could try out?
