Sorry for the wordy title but it was the best way I could put it without making it sound like clickbait. Basically just curious about bands that stand out from the genre they play in by having deep/dense lyrics. For example a hardcore / punk band having pages upon pages of lyrics, because that's a genre that's usually about heavy instrumentals with maybe a dozen lines of lyrics. Something interesting like that.

Los Campesinos fits the bill, I've described them as hyperliterate pop punk to people who haven't heard of them before.

silent planet is a great example of this in the metalcore scene. their lyrics get intensely philosophical at times in a genre where lyricism often takes a backseat to riffy and rhythmic guitar work. highly recommend the songs “Depths II” from the album “The Night God Slept” and “Inherit the Earth” from the album “Everything Was Sound”.
