Just been pondering “upgrade-itis” a bit over the past couple of weeks. During Covid times I did a lot of hi-fi building and got to my happy place about two years ago. Since then I haven’t really paid attention to new equipment announcements, or forums. I still catch myself enjoying the music (which for me is the goal) when I listen.

But, a couple of weeks ago I thought about upgrading the speakers, pulled the thread, and now I’m back into pondering whether to invest more into it. Part of me feels like I’m succumbing to the “nothing is ever good enough, must consume” mentality. The other part is saying that if the process is enjoyable, and the result is better, and I can afford the time and expense, why not.

Interested to hear the perspective of others. Have you reached your “final system” and stuck to it?
