All things green, outdoors, and nature-y. Whether it's animals in their natural habitat, hiking trails and mountains, or planting a little garden for yourself (and everything in between), you can talk about it here.

See also our Environment community, which is focused on weather, climate, climate change, and stuff like that.

Impressive! And yet the plant seems happy up there?

If plants could feel pain, this is what I'd think it'd be like.

She's root bound very root bound lol. If you were to plant it in the ground as is it would have a hard time growing out of the pot shape, some plants actually die from this after leaving their pots. But you can make it easier on them by scoring the bottom roots, how much you want to cut varies by the plant, but generally you want to loosen it's pot shape. I've had some root bound plants that I just squeeze a little bit to break the shape, I've had bushes I needed to saw deep into just to be more persuasive about leaving the pot shape. I'm sure you know this all already, it's just really funny plant behavior to me.

That's crazy! Is that an oleander? I'm impressed at how fine the roots are. It looks like they consumed most of the soil!
