From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

i find it very useful and would like to know if there is an implementation for it on xfce, as well as how it performs.

KDE's documentation mentions indicator-kdeconnect for using it with other environments, but it hasn't been updated in 4 years. Might still work, might not.

You will almost certainly be able to use KDE Connect under Xfce. However, some dependencies will most likely be installed during the installation, which in turn have their own dependencies. With a bit of bad luck, you will install half of Plasma, so to speak.

I use it for seeing/replying to texts on my desktop. It works great for that with xfce.

I used it on i3wm without problems. Just install and use it

Gsconnect is the gnome version; I think that's how I had it working on xfce

I use on pop os and works well, I mean I'm getting notification and can access to my phone files, clipboard don't know if there any KDE-only feature I'm missing

My laptop has KDE connect installed with XFCE. It seems to work just as well as it does on my desktop with KDE Plasma, so I'd say it works fine. I'm able to transfer files between them and my phone pretty seamlessly, as well as respond to texts from my laptop or desktop.

Im pretty sure the app works everywhere but i think you need additional software for a status indicator

It does, and I've never seen kdeconnect-indicator packaged separately. I'm pretty sure it depends on some KDE packages though, so maybe OP wants to avoid installing them for some reason.
