I came here to say this.
The latest 0.0.38 is so much more stable and fast.
The developers did a great job. I can't imagine the amount of pressure they must be under right now with the Reddit exodus.
Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
Jerboa is made by Lemmy's developers, and is free, open-source software, meaning no advertising, monetizing, or venture capital, ever. Your donations directly support full-time development of the project.

And I can go back without the app crashing! :) Very happy that's resolved for me, and with a neat gesture to boot :) Thanks, I didn't even see that gesture was added, it's really useful!
I'm on Liftoff right now. As someone that types very quickly, but not very accurately, the bug where if you use backspace to delete a lot of stuff, it will delete the space of the previous word, was very, very annoying, and still hasn't been fixed (although I'm not sure if there's any PRs to fix it). I've been trying a bunch of clients and most of them are at a very early stage. While I don't like Liftoff's Material You design, it's still better than most.
Volume button navigation finally! I loved that from Sync. But more importantly with the new update Jerboa isn't crashing anymore for me upon starting it.
Swiping between tabs of the profile doesn't take huge cross screen swipes anymore either. The comment edit cursor position bug is still there though.
