Where was the outrage when actual white supremacists were flying actual Nazi flags as part of the Freedom Convoy. And they didn't just fly Nazi flags ... three percenters, don't trend on me, confederate flags, soldiers of Odin ... groups that are either far right, white supremacist, neo-Nazi or sympathize with these movements.

This recent example is a protester equating Nazism to Zionism ... it doesn't say they are supporting Nazism, it's trying to convey that Zionism is like Nazism. Like the story points out ... someone presenting an image doesn't always mean they support it.

Context matters and politicians are always ready to feign ignorance in order to send a quick message.

At the Freedom Convoy, white supremacists flew actual Nazi flags for one reason only ... because they themselves supported Nazism. And it wasn't just one instance in one moment, some of those flags stayed for weeks.

I was so pissed to see one of the convoy leaders wearing a poppy in the court photos. Those asshats actually embraced Nazi's and allowed them to participate in their convoy. Conservatives were totally cool with it, hell some even had lunch with literal Nazi's not far after either. Fuck them.

But have you considered that white protestors in the Freedom Convoy can't be Hamas because they're white?

Did you really see no outrage over the Freedom Convoy?

Or are you trying to straw man?

They didn't care. The only thing they really commented on is that they made a lot of noise and sometimes blocked the roads. You had what basically amounted to an invasion from America and they downplayed that shit so hard that I bet you didn't know they were Americans.

I guess the side supporting it supported it but I didn’t know anyone that didn’t hate it/paint them as terrorists/want the military to remove them

I remember someone commenting recently in the context of US politics that conservatives think it's fair to judge progressives as a whole by their most fringe member yet think it fair to excuse elected conservative nutjobs (like Trump) as too fringe to represent the conservative tent.

The double standard is shocking, as this humanitarian crisis has very powerfully revealed. Some memes would fit the 'Western' response well, like the Drake one or the Gordon Ramsay one. But no matter how much politicians want to treat this as a PR opportunity, I haven't lost sight of the genocide and immensity of human suffering that is really going on

Even just looking at the image the guy is clearly drawing a parallel between Nazi Germany and Israel rather than flying a swastika as an expression of their personal beliefs.

So was the guy with the swastika flag at the freedom convoy.

That was a literal Nazi. You must be dense if you think otherwise.
