If Modi picks a southern seat to contest from, it will be a second seat for him, for he will also contest from his current constituency of Varanasi, say sources

One constituency in Tamil Nadu that the BJP is saidto be tentatively considering for Modi is Ramanathapuram, in which the Hindu pilgrimage site of Rameswaram falls. Modi had himself last year stressed the religious link between Kashi (Varanasi) and Rameswaram, underlining that both are abodes of Lord Shiva and saying that “Tamil Nadu is the Kashi of the south”.

As usual, nothing but religion to fall back on.

As long as Indians vote for religion-caste, some clown will be around to con them and make hay.

At this point, or rather even at this point, I don't think there is any state in India where it is not one of the major factors.

He has messed up Benaras with his negect and his Kashi Vishwanath corridor project destroyed more temples in that town than even the much-maligned Aurangazeb did in all India.

He and his sengol deserve to lose from both places.
