Useless info but someone shared the full 720p 1.1Go movie on a discord group yesterday . I wonder how they got ahold of the movie so quickly ?

Universal elected to drop “Freddy’s” on its platform Peacock on the same day as its theatrical debut.

Someone and leaked it on Twitter originally, iirc.

Thanks for the info. As expected, piracy didn't even do a dent on the movie success, maybe even helped it.

Most 12 year olds do not know how to pirate

Quite sad. It's the key to access freedom from corporate infinite greed and the lie of infinite growth. We need to share the key with the younger generation.

Most people don't know how to install an adblocker extension on their browser either.

There's quite a few 12 year olds that know how to pirate. But looking at it globally, most don't, because most people in general barely categorize as computer 'users'.

Comoditise entrainement by making it accessible, affordable and superior in both quantity and quality than regular TV and movie theaters. Make any alternative seems inferior and risky and then have complete control long enough that a new generation grows up with it without having to deal with its worse side (children don't have to deal with price hikes and abysmal services). A new generation of trapped Consumers is at the hands of the industry ever growing greed.

Long-term strategy right there.
