I have a lot of nostalgia for Silver/Gold but Crystal is an upgrade in every way. I still remember how crazy it was to discover the entire Kanto region was in the game. The kind of weird pacing and leveling of the area made it feel even more kind an extra zone than shouldn't exist.

WARNING! PERSONAL OPINION: I know it has crappy graphics but thats why i love it. And the 3rd gen games are also amazing. They have such a refined look but its still pixelated. The rest of the games are either too old(gen 1) or too profit oriented(gen VI and up) gen 4 and 5 are good but i dont like the 2.5D style
