So I bought a moto G52 because it was listed as compatible with T-Mobile. It turns out it technicly works with T-Mobile but its limited to 2G and doesn't have service most of the time.

I am looking at alternatives but I don't know how to check compatibility. I'm looking to run lineage os and I need a headphone jack. I want to stay under $300 USD and I love Motorola's gestures so I would like to stay with Motorola if possible.

Any suggestions? I have been mostly brousing this website https://lineageosdevices.com

Make sure to buy a US phone if you live in the US. In the US, Motorolas mid range is just called G with word addons not numbers. You can use frequencycheck.com to verify if it has the correct bands, but make sure to check the model number because some brands have multiple versions.

I'm confused, how to use moto gestures on Lineage? Can you do that?

My only thought is the Pixel 4a 5g, runs lineage, good cameras ig. I think 5a also has it.

Why wouldn't you? They are part of the low level hardware I believe.

You can do a few of the shake gestures with Tasker actually, but Moto gestures generally require some fiddling about with the ROM itself and isn't something Lineage offers out of the box AFAIK.

They do though as it works just fine on my Moto g7 power. I didn't do anything to set them up.
