You can also use this tool to browse for communities and copy the link and paste it into your search bar on your Lemmy instance. Then when you subscribe there seems to be a bug where it will say pending. Just keep clicking it until it says joined

I was interested, an went through browse.feddit.de for "tes". Found https://lemmy.ml/c/tes3mp among countless subs with tes in their name, such as tes, tesla, diabetes, and quotes.

Thanks - how do I actually access that? When I copy that into the community search, nothing comes up except for your comment, and it's not showing up in google
Could be that the server is busy, try again. lemm.ee seems to be running on a bit older version of lemmy, maybe it's that.
I’m pretty sure you got to copy “!elderscrolls@lemmy.ml” into the search bar and wait a few minutes. If it doesn’t appear, then idk.
