Holy crap, it happened on Friday, and it's still up? Who the hell is running that site?

[–] zib@kbin.social 49 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Someone who probably isn't paid enough to care. Or at all.

[–] IHeartBadCode@kbin.social 26 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, if someone didn’t ask Donald Trump to pay upfront, that’s kinda on them at this point.

For real. It’s one thing if you’re commissioned to build a site. It’s entirely different if you choose to build a site on your own time to support a candidate you like. The real issue would be if the site owner then tried to skim off the top of whatever donations get collected. Because at that point, it’s just straight up fraud.

Based on the Wayback Machine, it looks like the site was changed even before that: sometime between August 3rd and August 15th.

Before we dive deeper, it's essential to understand what personal character means.

I mean, the rabid Trump supporters are working from such a different starting point and set of assumptions. It makes perfect sense to go right back to basics: definitions of "lying" and "personal character".

[–] chahk 2 points 1 year ago

The problem is not that they don't know what lying is. The problem is that they don't care.

I find it funny and fitting that most of this is written like how you would talk to a 5 year old when trying to explain to them for the first time the difference between right and wrong

I also like the turning around of "make america great again". I don't necessarily agree that America is "already great", but I do like how this points out that the slogan itself is unpatriotic, since that's an irony most Trump supports fail to grasp

It's been a minute since I've seen some good old-fashioned hacktivism.

To be fair, the man's running low on resources and has bigger things to worry about, like staying out of jail - lmfaooo

Can’t see it because NextDNS flags it still as a newly registered domain. I’m ok with that.

Does this offer legitimate protection for you, or is it more of a nuisance? What is considered "new"?

It's too bad that message will be lost on the degenerates that are MAGA
