I was on v0.0.33 before the 0.0.35 update and wow, it looks so good.
Just feels better to use as well. Thank you!
Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
Jerboa is made by Lemmy's developers, and is free, open-source software, meaning no advertising, monetizing, or venture capital, ever. Your donations directly support full-time development of the project.

Will this one get pushed to the playstore? or do I need to side load it like i have for 0.34?
Highly recommend using f-droid and adding the izzyondroid repo tho. That's where updates will get fastest.
I think we hugged the repo to death.
In my f-droid the latest version is .33 somehow
Install Obtanium and it'll update anything you add (like Jerboa) directly from GitHub releases instead of waiting for it to propagate through to FDroid/IzzyOnDroid/etc's repos.
Woah this app is a lifesaver thanks a lot!
When google approves it, it'll get there.
Excellent work mate!
I can go directly to replies to my comments now!
I am seriously impressed by the number of fixes in this release, including a few I was hoping for. It can't show up in fdroid soon enough! Thanks to all the contributors!
Comment navigation with volume keys is 😙🤌
The Google Play Store version crashed instantly on launch after flashing up the changelog (mentioning v0.0.35) but looking at app info it said version 0.0.33 so maybe the play store hadn't rolled out the latest build. Installed the GitHub release apk instead and had no issues.
We've upgraded lemmy.ml to use the new 0.18.0
back-end, so it was crucial that I got this jerboa release out ASAP to be compatible with it.
We'll have the official release of 0.18.0
tomorrow.
Will there be an arm64 docker image so I can upgrade my instance? I used the ansible playbook to install it and have no idea how to migrate to self compiled.
Not currently, check the issue on the github.
This happens on izzydroid v0.0.34 as well.
Happens to me, too. Fold3 with android 13.
Just a little feedback since updating to the latest Jerboa version.... Loading & scrolling is super smooth!, & no error messages, at least so far...really nice update.. 2 things though, the default listing type & sort type are displayed as Local/active, ignoring my defaults in settings... Secondly, read items in the inbox, are displayed, even when set to show unread only... Pretty minor, I know, but just noticeable given this wasn't the case before the update... Thanks all👍🏼
Holy Moly that's a lot of new contributors!
Thanks again for all the great work!

I've been using Jerboa since I joined Lemmy about a week ago and have tried other apps but Jerboa is the one I keep coming back to because it just works and looks how i expect it to.
Anyone else having issues to see nsfw with this release? Was unblurred before and blurred now with no change in my setting and all seems correctly checked... As usual asking for a friend 😋
Well afaik it always should have been blurried without an option to disable it
awesome progress, updated. working well!
nice work guys. thanks for your efforts
My vlemmy account is not working on Jerboa. :( But my nsfw account is.
Is it pushed to the play store? I'm currently stuck at 0.0.33
Edit: too slow I suppose:)
Thanks again for making the move that much easier.
"App not installed as app conflicts with existing package"
Wouldn't install?
Possibly due to having it already installed, but from a different source....un-uninstall & then install the latest APK, downloaded from link provided...🤞🏻
Yup. Worked. Thanks!
