The trapping and planting in Miramar has had a huuuuuge influence, populations now have a bridge between Karori and the other side of the harbour.
This is great, hopefully we will soon see more of them in the Hutt Valley as well.
Good news to see that native wildlife is recovering. Hopefully it's similar results for the Ruru when they survey it later this year.

It's such a cool thing to have Zealandia in the middle of Wellington, providing a place for native birds to thrive without predators. And it's very cool for people who live nearby who can see these birds at their house!

That's one of the things I definitely miss most about living in Karori, so many cool birds just hanging out and perching around the house.
