I learned a few new things about the fediverse, including a Canadian angle on the creation of the ActivityPub protocol.

It's good to see the fediverse getting mentioned by a mainstream news org but it is a little annoying it's through the context of threads, haha. It is what it is, I suppose.

I guess one of the good things with Threads is it raises awareness of these other platforms for people to potentially check out

I think Threads and the Anti-Meta Fedipact can coexist within the space of the Fediverae. While some existing Lemmy and Mastodon users might flock to Threads or Meta-compatible server, others will go the other way around, from Threads or just interest in Threads to an anti-Meta server.

Bruno Vol 2 HRS AGO Meta are just trying to be helpful by, for example, knowing how often you go to the can overnight so they can steer you in the right direction for products that can help,
