Great job! And remember, you never stop learning, especially in the first year on your own.
I recommend picking up the police driving manual (roadcraft) if you'd like extra tips.

Thank you very much!

Congrats!
If you want some advice I wish I took, continue driving and never stop.
Two weeks after getting my license my family sold the old car and bought a gigantic fucking beast of a truck. I got intimidated and never touched a wheel again. Now it's been like 4 years and Im starting to need to drive and Im scared shitless and don't remember a single thing, so yeah.

@BuddhaBeettle@kbin.social @Flax_vert@feddit.uk I didn't drive for a year after passing my test, because I didn't own a car and nobody (in the UK, at that time, anyway) would rent a car to someone who'd been driving for less than a year. That was a bit nerve wracking.

Great job! Now you need to rack up that xp.

Never forget the priority is driving safely. Don't get caught up in road rage. There's a lot of it out there.

Do you know who I am???

Congrats dude! Where's the first place you drove?

[–] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I haven't done any driving since passing if that's what you're asking, I am going to take on the motorway with my dad after buying a set of R plates

[–] tkc@feddit.uk 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, thats what I was getting at. Enjoy being mobile!

I just finished the motorway, it was different signage and lane-wise but it was easy enough, I don't know what all of the fuss is about.

I didn't realise that Northern Ireland required a R plate after passing. As far as I know in the rest of the UK P plates are optional

[–] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 3 points 1 year ago

Yep, sadly.

Congrats! Now don't stop driving, try at least around your home to keep practicing.
