I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my graphics card from a RX 590 to a RX 6750 XT, and holy shit is there a big noticeable difference. I've been replaying some games and its almost like playing it for the first time. It just feels so different and so much more details to notice. I thought I was fine on the 590 and that I really wouldn't see much difference, but the 6750 xt is running Red Dead Redemption 2 on ultra and still has plenty to spare. My room is also not increasing in temperature due to the 590 maxing out the entire time trying to play RDR2 on medium/low settings.

Now I just need to upgrade my monitor next to get even more out of this.

6700/6800 XT are very fine cards. Go for OLED on the monitor if you can

Personally I'm waiting for qd-oled to get more affordable. I don't want to spend the big bucks on a monitor that will eventually get worse over time due to burn in.

I'm still sitting on an R9 390, mainly because I don't really do much PC gaming these days. Will be interesting to see how long that card will hold out for.

I know the feeling. I'm the 'run it into the goddamned ground before you replace it' type so I'm still running an old Alienware rig that's still holding up and serving me well for the better part of a decade now (with the odd upgrade or two), has an R9 370 in it.

I'm not a 4K person and she ain't much but I was swinging around NYC as Spider-Man on medium/high decently enough for me to enjoy the game so I can't complain much. She'll get retired and replaced one day lol.

Congrats! Running on a RX 6700 XT myself, really happy with it too.

I've been waiting for OLED to become the norm, but I wasn't paying attention when picking my most-recent graphics card and got a card that couldn't do DVI, which is all that my elderly monitor had as an output, so I figured that it was time to take the plunge.
