He says Romanian prosecutors have no evidence and alleged their case is a "political" attack aimed at silencing him.

Does he even know about or have a "side" on Romanian politics, or is this just like a go-to line now? I mean I don't think anyone cares about him on a political level, he's just awful in the general sense.

He's using political in the same way that gender/race swapping a character in a film adaptation is "political" i.e. it isn't but they believe using the word veils their misogyny/racism.
