All of these plants just trying to survive in nature and we come along thinking man that sure is a tasty defense mechanism. I never really thought about it in terms of flavor coming from plant communication. In some cases I suppose we are enjoying the mating calls of plants as well.

I mean, spices like Cardemom and Cinnamon must have expected their deliciousness would attract some humans... But the world's spiciest peppers?! Poor guys are in disbelief.
