Apologies in advance for the rant, but if the US ever wants the general public to take soccer & the national teams seriously, they need to drop the stupid paywall bullshit. USA v CAN in the CONCACAF Nation's League FINAL should be on cable at a miminum. Not relegated to some third tier streaming service. /rant

The US Soccer Federation has never been smart. Passionate, yes. Smart, no.

I agree but in this case, I don't think it is a federation problem but a decision by the company that has the rights to broadcast the game. They might even have kept of off cable on purpose to try and drive traffic the the streaming platform. Even the EPL often has the best game only available in the US on Peacock each week.

I feel like that's especially true this cycle. Get it plastered on tv, make tickets affordable, get people buzzing about the team going into the 2026 world cup that we host. I don't think the nations league is the end all be all for accomplishing that but given there's no qualification you have to take advantage of what you got.
