A Bungie engineer has tweeted out that Diablo 4's enemy scaling is "one of the worst ideas," and the President of Blizzard, Mike Ybarra, has clapped back.

I beat the campaign and the enemy scaling just sucked all the fun out of the game for me. I never felt any stronger and the gear "upgrades" felt like they did nothing.

Agreed, you can just grind to have that Diablo power fantasy that never comes.

That's basically my experience with any RPG that incorporates scaling, especially Blizzard games. Blizzard scaling feels very hit or miss to me, at one point you feel totally OP and 1 level later you feel like you're hitting your enemies with a wet noodle.

I hate scaling in RPG's with a passion.
