I feel like kbin has the most Reddit-like feel in terms of browsing, although Lemmy has the advantage in terms of robustness and stability. Who else is hanging out in both spaces?

I am probably going to switch to Kbin. I think it does a good job of combining Mastodon and Lemmy into a single user interface. By this, I mean that ever "Magazine" on Kbin (which is equivalent to a SubReddit or a Lemmy "community" also has a /<mag-name>/microblog API which lets you create Mastodon-like posts associated with the magazine. People on Mastodon can subscribe to that magazine and view those microblog posts as an ActivityPub "group."

It would be nice if Lemmy copied that feature. But regardless of whether they do, I think over all I like Kbin a bit better and will probably switch.

It's also nice to be able to easily follow Mastodon accounts across the whole Fediverse.

Even though I've always liked more to read news / blog posts and never found much appeal to Twitter-like services, I feel that maybe some specific accounts might be worth following, and having it integrated as part of the same service is very convenient.

@stormageddon I'm only on kbin and that's probably where I'll stay and try to help.

@Bipta I think it's my favorite of the alternatives I've tried so far, although I do like Lemmy a lot. As long as federation doesn't dip out again, you can subscribe to communities on Lemmy as well, which is nice.

@stormageddon I've been trying to use both, but for some reason on Lemmy my front page isn't changing at all. It's had the same post about retro game consoles at the top for the last 2 days.

@Xathonn Yeah Lemmy seems to not be as consistent as showing updated content in the feed. On kbin on the other hand, I see new stuff most times I log on. Sorting by Hot in both cases.
