A quick Merlin Bird ID later - you're right! They're Egyptian Geese. I've never been good at identifying geese when they aren't the terrifying Canadian ones. Thanks! Luckily Lemmy actually allows post title edits, haha.

Honestly Egyptian geese are the only birds I am consistently able to identify because I see them all the time where I live (South Africa)

Apparently it is not a goose goose but closer to a "shelduck". Research rabbit hole time!
