You could prepare healthy snacks before (!) smoking.
some inspiration:
-vegetable sticks with hummus/guacamole
-fruits (frozen grapes are awesome)
-roasted chickpeas
-popcorn (without drenching it in butter)

Yeah this is something i ll definitely try.
+1 on healthier snacks. Frozen grapes or watermelon (also helps hydrate) are godly.
I tried snacking on mixed nuts but it just felt like it took forever for my stoned ass to eat them lol
Test
I'm reading this as I eat banana bread over the sink, after smoking a bowl. I commiserate, and I hope to hear good advice too.
Beat Saber works for me
A. Find the right strain get on leafly and look up which strains of weed cause hunger and which dont
B. Eat before you smoke
C. Maybe smoke as a reward for excercise or during
Ok i can cross B from the list because that will not help :D
So far i have gotten the munchies from all the strains. But i ll look into it.
Some strains make me hungrier, and usually indica makes me have munchies more than sativa, not always though, lol.
I like to get stoned and go on long runs so the overeating is part of the experience
You smoke and then go on a run? Never tried that...
Veggies and hummus are my go to but also eating before smoking helps
I suck on hard boiled sweets. Fucking beautiful when you're high wow the flavour it amazing
Jolly ranchers are my go to. Not a health food by any means, but they last so long it keeps my calorie consumption way down.
Drink a bunch of cold water when you smoke, and try to keep yourself busy.
I also try to avoid eating too much while stoned since it becomes a hassle to manage taking insulin for everything, and those two things work well for me.
I count my calories with an app so I know how much I can eat, and still lose weight. And I wait to eat until after I vape. Other than that I try to stay busy. Lately I’ve been using an app to learn to play musical instruments, and learning music and feeling like I’m playing a video game keeps me from thinking about eating lol.
Have you tried strains that are higher in thcv? https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/us/blog-thcv-an-up-and-coming-member-of-the-cannabinoid-family-n456
