Check out The Pogues I'd you haven't already. Rum Sadomy and the Lash, and If I should fall with grace from god are 2 of my fav albums.
Will do! Thanks for the tip!
Fontaines are dope. I saw them open for Idles at a basement venue in Washington DC years ago, I assumed they were a local band because they had DC in the name, but once I heard their accents I figured that wasn't the case lol.
@altz3r0 Love them. My favorite band since a couple of years, partly due to a heartbreaking history I share with their music, but yeah 💔
Basically I can't listen to A Hero's Death without bursting into tears.
What Ever Happened? by The Strokes. Such an epic opener.
I wanna be forgotten / And I don't wanna be reminded / You say, "Please don't make this harder" / No, I won't yet
I've been sleeping on Room on Fire for far too long, it is chock full of bangers.
Gotta admit I've also been sleeping on Room on Fire, been too preoccupied with Is This It and The New Abnormal.
Exactly the same here! I love both of those records and pretty much wrote off a majority of their discography in-between for no real reason other then laziness I guess? Lol.
The common opinion seems to be that Is This It is full of bangers from front to back, while most of their other records contain a couple of good songs apiece.
But it seems to me that those couple of good songs are really worth the hassle.
My brain has been churning through a Father John Misty's catalogue. Currently stuck on "Kiss Me (I Loved You)" but this last week it's been various tracks from Fear Fun and I Love You, Honeybear.
Big Country - In A Big County (83)
the band - the night they drove old dixie down
I know this is for serious music and Nick lutsko is more of a joke musician but I cant get this song out of my head. I find myself singing it to myself constantly.

I just love the stupid joke of a person being afraid of skeletons as in the spooky monster and being spooked by their own x-ray. I also love the verse of the exasperated doctor just trying to power through this and explain bones to his patient.
I hate that I wantched that and I also hate that DOCTOR DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT is now going to be seated into my cortex for a few days.
You monster.
Why Did You Separate Me from the Earth? - Anohni
The Pixies - Gouge Away. Learned more about the lyrics after playing it nearly all day.
Cry - Carly Rae Jepsen. I get earwormed by that song on the regular.
I can't get the stomping rhythm out of my head. I think I need to go listen to it again.
Man, I keep forgetting to listen to that album, thanks for the reminder.
Watched the warcraft movie last night, one of the characters names is Lothar. Got the song "call me lothar" by ba johnston stuck hard in my head. https://bajohnston.bandcamp.com/album/my-heart-is-a-blinking-nintendo?t=5
Gasoline - I Prevail
i actually saw them in concert this last november! pretty great show and band, though i’ve mostly only listened to true power
I heard a horn phrase played by a jazz quintet this afternoon and now Dandy Livingstone's Rudy, a message to you is all I can hear.
Sun//Eater by Lorna Shore. It's been stuck in my head for like three weeks.
On the rare occasion it's not, it's replaced by the COMPLETE opposite song Days of Thunder by The Midnight.
No Love - Death Grips
too many hoes in my motherfucking meal
ASKING IF I KNOW HOW A MOTHERFUCKER FEELS
Most recently “I don’t belong to me” by the Lemon Twigs. Different songs from “Everything Harmony” have alternated in my head for weeks now…
This track just released from Canadian duo, Summersets: https://summersets.bandcamp.com/track/unbelievers
Long years on the internet have conditioned me to dig deep for a song that is off the beaten path and novel, just so everybody knows how great my taste in music is, but at the moment I have Exile by Taylor Swift feat Bon Iver on repeat repeat repeat.
The last part is basically them 'singing past each other' in much the same way couples talk past each other when they are trying to argue. It's so well done.
He's got an interesting set of styles that I have trouble categorizing, but has grown on me ever since I found him a couple of years ago.
At the moment my mind is switching between repeating fragments of "Where is my mind?" by Pixies and "By-Tor and the Snow Dog" by Rush of all things..
This changes every few days, but right now it's Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. I wouldn't even call myself a fan of them but this song slaps.
The orchestral arrangement is just too good. Thanks George Martin.
Arlo Parks – Weightless
(This one was self-inflicted…)
…and, since someone posted it several (6 or so?) weeks ago: Heavy D & The Boyz - Now That We Found Love 😬
The Dramatics - Whatcha See is Whatcha Get has been stuck in my head for a few days now. But I don't mind, because it's a great song haha
The Fratellis - The Last Songbird has been in my head on loop all day. Great band, I can always immediately recognize their sound when a song starts playing.
CUT_ - Out of Touch (Tinlicker Remix)

Red Fang's cover of Over the Edge by the Wipers. I'm relearning how to play the guitar after 20 years, and this song is an itch I've been scratching.
Defiance Ohio - Calling Old Friends HELL YEAH, have had this song on my mind for the past while... In fact, it is the inspiration for my lemmy username!
Gavotte 1 & 2 from cello suite no 5 by J S Bach, played on ukulele.

I keep “Bach-ifying” off different noises I hear, Bach/baroque in general is stuck in my head,
Ascensionism especially the "You make me wish I could disappear" and "You will watch me ascend" parts.
