I just started using Uber and it's an actual godsend for me at this point in my life. But I want to bring my spouse along sometimes obviously so is that something I have to let Uber know somehow or is it just straight up "up to x amount of people"?

You can bring as many people as can fit in the seats.

Thank you so much!

You just have to book a large enough Uber for your group. If it’s you and one other person than any Uber will do. If you need a minivan or something then make sure to book an Uber XL

See the little head icon right next to the ride option? Goes by 4, 4, 4, 6, 4. That tells you the maximum number of people you can take.
