I believe the only way to unclog the city streets is to improve public transport system with more options like bullet train and public transit exclusive lanes.

There is no way to improve the city for cars where we don't get into clogs every day.

The subway was down between woodbine and Broadview this weekend, and shuttle buses ran that length along Danforth. Seeing a line of 6 buses stuck in traffic really highlights the effectiveness of the subway service we have and why we need more of it.

I'm not a car hater by any means, and cars indeed are an integral part of society at this point IMO, but I agree with you 100%. Only way to unclog is by inproving public transport, not just in Toronto, but southern Ontario as a whole.

Also, I love bringing out this anecdote about people who support more transit... A large percentage generally only support transit development because they think other people will use it and there will be fewer drivers on the roads to contend with. Hilarious

Optimistically speaking it’s going to be a rough 10 years while a few large projects around the core are completed.

All empty words. No matter who is elected, things are not going to improve. They're only gonna get worse and nothing will move forward. That's the way of Toronto.
