With dreamleague and div2 DPC ongoing, and reddit going dark for 2 days, how is this community not exploding like others on lemmy?

People who play dota probably spend so much time playing/watching that they're oblivious to the Reddit API stuff. They see the subreddit down, shrug, and go play another game.

I think it is the snowball effect, most people are lurker (including me). So most of us just see subreddit down, some tried to open lemmy and see empty thread just shrugged and continue watching dreamleague lol.Some other probably will take refuge on discord?

Also lemmy trending is kinda sucks, it just full of anti reddit circlejerk, very uninteresting

Most will switch to Discord because its more established and better for live events
